Identidad del Centro Universitario Franco Mexicano de Monterrey

El Centro Universitario Franco Mexicano de Monterrey es una institución educativa de nivel secundaria incorporado a la Secretaria de Educación de Nuevo León por lo que nos regimos con los reglamentos de la misma.

Nuestra institución fue fundada el 8 de enero de 1958, lo que nos alegra de celebrar los primeros 50 años de vida y con ellos renovar nuestro compromiso con la sociedad regiomontana.

Somos herederos del la espiritualidad apostólica de San Marcelino, lo que nos hace una institución de inspiración católica y nos compromete a evangelizar a través de la educación proporcionando a nuestros alumnos una formación integral la cual parte de una visión cristiana de la vida a través de su relación con Dios, con los demás, con la naturaleza; partiendo de una sana relación consigo mismo, de tal manera que hace de su Yo un Nosotros.

Nuestro estilo de educación se basa en los principios de la formación marista la cual consiste en:

• Estar siempre presentes entre los alumnos como signo de compromiso con ellos y con la firme convicción de que acompañándolos en su diario vivir es la mejor manera de estar atentos a sus necesidades; vivimos esta presencia con sencillez de trato.

• Con un gran deseo de que el Amor al trabajo nos ayude a hacer nuestra labor educativa de y con calidad, de tal manera que nuestros alumnos se ven beneficiados de dicho desempeño de los docentes de nuestra escuela logrando con ello una institución con calidad educativa.

• Buscamos junto con los padres de familia, alumnos y alumnas formar la Familia Marista de Monterrey y del mundo en la cual compartimos nuestra presencia con 40 ciudades de México y 77 países alrededor del mundo lo que nos hace formar parte de los más de 600,000 miembros del Instituto Marista.

• Con el amor a Nuestra Buena Madre y su presencia en nuestra institución marcamos la diferencia ante otras instituciones educativas de nuestro entorno, lo que le da un tinte materno y cercano con la comunidad educativa marista del CUM y respondemos a su invitación de estar atentos a lo que Jesús no dice.

• Hacemos de nuestra labor social un compromiso con los más necesitados atendiendo de manera especial a nuestros hermanos de la Escuela Franco Guadalupe, a quienes les ayudamos para que como nosotros tengan una educación digna de tal manera que les ayude a responder y comprometerse con las necesidades del medio en que viven.

Esta labor educativa la llevamos a cabo en conjunto: Hermanos, Laicos comprometidos, Padres Corresponsables con la educación de sus hijos pero sobre todo con el fuerte compromiso de los alumnos quienes son los primeros responsables de de formación.

Identity of Centro Universitario Franco Mexicano de Monterrey

The Centro Universitario Franco Mexicano de Monterrey is an educational institution with a junior high school level, incorporated to Secretaría de Educación de Nuevo León, so we are ruled by its regulations.

Our institution was founded on January 8th, 1958, so we are glad to celebrate out 50th anniversary and with them we renew our compromise with the society of Monterrey.

We have inherited Saint Marcellin’s apostolic spirituality, which makes us a Catholic Institution and engages us to evangelize through education by giving our students an integral formation which derives from a Christian vision of life through their relationship with God, with others, with nature; all of these drawn from a healthy relationship with oneself in such a way that an “I” becomes a “We”.

Our educational style is based on the principles of Marist formation that consist of the following:

• Being always present among the students as a sign of commitment with them and with the firm conviction that accompanying them in their daily lives is the best way to be attentive to their needs; we live this presence with simplicity.

• With a great desire that the love for our work helps us perform our educational task of and with quality in a way that our students receive the benefits of the good performance of our teachers, so we can make an institution with high educational quality.

• Our institution, parents, and students look forward to becoming part of the Marist Family of Monterrey and the world. We now share our presence in 40 cities in Mexico and 77 countries around the world, and there are more than 600,000 members of the Marist Institution.

• With the love of our Good Mother and her presence in our institution, we make a difference before other educational institutions around us. Her presence gives our institution a maternal feeling and closeness to the Marist educational community of CUM; we respond to Mary’s invitation to be attentive to what Jesus tells us.

• Our social work becomes a compromise with the most materially poor; we specially help our brothers from the Escuela Franco Mexicano, for they have the opportunity of studying like we do, so they may respond to and engage with the needs of the environment they live in.

This educational task is carried out as a team: brothers, lay faithful, co-responsible parents with their children’s education, but specially the strong commitment the students have to be the first responsible ones for their own formation.

La Comunidad Educativa Marista del CUM de Monterrey, somos una institución de inspiración cristiana, incorporada a la Secretaría de Educación, a nivel secundaria, donde nos formamos, como personas responsables y libres; en constante búsqueda y difusión de la verdad, comprometidos con la sociedad en la que vivimos, atendiendo especialmente a los más necesitados, desde la perspectiva de los valores de la sencillez, amor al trabajo, espíritu de familia, presencia y amor a María, armonizando fe, cultura y vida.

Mission

We, the Marist Educational Community of CUM of Monterrey, are an institution of Christian inspiration, incorporated to Secretaría de Educación at middle school level, where we are formed as free and responsible people in the constant search for and dissemination of the truth, committed to the society we live in, paying special attention to the people in need, from the perspective of the values of simplicity, love for our work, family spirit, presence, and love to Mary, harmonizing faith, culture, and life.

Visión 2010

En el CUM de Monterrey nos esforzamos por mantener la calidad educativa que nos distingue, para llegar a ser en el 2010, una escuela donde la misión sea compartida por hermanos y laicos, profesional y apostólicamente calificados, para ser líderes comprometidos en la formación integral de la CEM, de acuerdo a la visión de San Marcelino Champagnat, de formar buenos cristianos y virtuosos ciudadanos, respondiendo a las necesidades de la sociedad, preferencialmente a los menos favorecidos, dentro de su contexto mundial.

Vision 2010

At CUM of Monterrey, we make an effort to keep the educational quality that distinguishes us to become in 2010 a school where the mission is shared by brothers and lay faithful, professionally and apostolically qualified to be leaders committed to integral formation of the MEC, according to Saint Marcellin’s vision of forming good Christians and virtuous citizens, responding to the society’s need, specially to the unprivileged people in the worldwide context.

Presencia
La presencia es un valor que nos mantiene atentos a las necesidades de nuestros estudiantes: brindando un tiempo más allá de nuestra dedicación profesional, estableciendo relaciones basadas en el afecto, creando oportunidades para involucrarnos en sus vidas y acogerlos a ellos en las nuestras.

Sencillez
La sencillez es un valor por el que manifestamos nuestras relaciones interpersonales, siendo éstas: auténticas y directas, decimos lo que creemos y demostramos que creemos lo que decimos, honestas, fruto de la unidad entre pensamiento y corazón, carácter y acción, respetuosas de la dignidad y libertad de las personas.

Espíritu de Familia
El Espíritu de familia es un valor con el que nos relacionamos como miembros de una familia que se ama, basando nuestro ambiente de trabajo en el espíritu de responsabilidad compartida y a la vez, de autonomía responsable, mantenemos un compromiso firme de construir comunidad con quienes se relacionan con nuestra Institución.

Amor al Trabajo
El Amor al trabajo es una característica propiamente marista ya que nos hace ser fieles en lo que hacemos, aplicando estrategias de mejoramiento profesional, fomentando la dignidad del trabajo a través de la creatividad, autoestima y perseverancia, promoviendo el espíritu de cooperación a través del trabajo en equipo, aprovechando el tiempo y haciendo buen uso del talento.

Amor a Jesús por María
El Amor a Jesús por María nos da identidad, ya que nuestro centro es la educación cristiana; haciendo vida las actitudes que reconocemos en María, modelo perfecto del educador marista: respondiendo con fe al llamado de Dios en nuestra vocación, maravillándonos de la grandeza de Dios y su Obra, permitiendo que nuestros estudiantes desarrollen su propia personalidad asociados a María, para hacer nacer a Jesús en sus corazones.

The values that distinguish us as a Marist Educational Community of CUM are the following.

Presence
Presence is a value that keeps us attentive to the needs of our students making time for them beyond merely professional contacts establishing relationships based on affection, creating opportunities to become involved in their lives, and welcoming them into ours.

Simplicity
Simplicity is a value through which we manifest our interpersonal relationships; these are genuine and straightforward, we say what we believe, and show that we believe what we say; honest, such simplicity is the fruit of a unity of mind and heart, of character and action; and respectful from people’s dignity and freedom.

Family Spirit
The family spirit is a value we use to relate to people as members of a family that love one another. Basing our work environment in the spirit of shared responsibility and responsible autonomy, we keep a solid commitment of building community with those who relate with our institution.

Love of Work
The love of work is a distinctive Marist characteristic that gives us faith in what we do applying strategies for professional improvement encouraging work dignity through creativity, self-esteem, and perseverance, promoting cooperation spirit by means of team work, and wise use of time and talents.

Love to Jesus from Mary
The love of Jesus from Mary gives us identity since she is the center of our Christian education; we live the attitudes we acknowledge in Mary, who is a perfect model for the Marist educator: responding with faith to the voice of God in our vocation, amazing us with the greatness of God and his work, allowing our students to develop their own personality linked to Mary to make Jesus happen in their hearts.
